PRODUCT AND STORAGE INFORMATION
This document contains instructions concerning Oxo-biodegradable plastic products with d2w™ additive.
1 – FINAL PRODUCT SERVICE LIFE
Plastic products including d2w™ additive in their manufacturing process have a set service life. The degradation rate of these products is influenced by environmental factors such as heat, exposure to sunlight, oxygen and time. Therefore, storing Oxo-biodegradable plastic products with d2w™ additive away from sunlight, in dry and fresh location is recommended, at maximum constant temperature of 29ºC.
2 - RECOMMENDATIONS TO CONSUMER
Do's:
- Keep Oxo-biodegradable plastic products with d2w™ additive in their original package when not in use;
- Keep Oxo-biodegradable plastic products with d2w™ additive away from sunlight and in dry location;
- Keep boxes containing Oxo-biodegradable plastic products with d2w™ additive in stacks with maximum height of 120 cm;
- Keep Oxo-biodegradable plastic products with d2w™ additive in controlled environment not exceeding 29ºC.
Dont's:
- Do not store Oxo-biodegradable plastic products with d2w™ additive in areas such as garage, shed, attic, vehicle trunk or any other location where temperature may exceed 29ºC.
3 - SHELF LIFE OF ADDITIVE-CONTAINING PACKAGES
Oxo-biodegradable plastic products with d2w™ additive are stable for a given period of time. It is important that these products are used or sold to consumers within the 6-month recommended period. We highly recommend that plastic products with d2w™ additive are wrapped in thick, black or white films, removing as much air as possible from inside the package. Brown cardboard boxes may also be used. In both cases, packages should be stored away from sunlight in a dry, fresh location where temperature does not exceed 29ºC;
Under recommended storage conditions, and if Oxo-biodegradable plastic products with d2w™ additive are manufactured according to process and manufacturing recommendations described above, and within the recommended range of d2w™ additive addition, the final products will have a typical “shelf life” of approximately 12 months.
